Touche

Outfit Details:
Sweater: Khols
Shirt: Forever 21
Jeggings: Charlotte Russe
Pin: Made By Yours Truly (And now for sale in my shop!)
Pearl Necklace: Pearly white
These happy little pictures were right before my camera ker plopped on the rail road track. I know I was talking about a new camera and all....but I really didn't sabatoge a dear old friend named Camera in order to get a new one. Sir Matt insisted that we wait until my birthday to find a new one but have no fear there's always a backup, my sisters digital. Touche brand new camera, touche.
Did I mention that this flannel pin is now for sale?! It's hot but the price is hotter. What can I say I aim to please.

Puppy Love

Outfit Details:
Dress: Target ($10)
Sweater: Thrifted
Necklace: Pearly White
Shoes: Forever Young
Have you ever heard of baby fever. I don't have it. I have puppy fever. My sisters came into town with their little puppies in hand and those little turds are cute. Not too mention no matter where I was if I had those little guys someone would say, "Ahh so cute, what breed?" I'd reply, " Oh you're too kind, I'm half mexican half swiss." and exit with a clever grin.

Tea and Crumpets

Outfit Details:
Shirt: TJ Maxx
Cardigan: Thrifted
Jeans: BKE
Purse: Thrifted
Necklace: Thrifted
Pin: Grandma'd
Shoes: Payless
I'm a girl. I love all that girly frilly crap. Ruffly stuff with a skirt and flowers full of joy and happiness. Heels eeking of femininity. Love it all. But there ain't nothing like a casual day. I love me some jeans. For me the hard part was finding a balance between I threw on a t-shirt and I'm ready to have tea and crumpets with the queen. My solution, a fun textured tank and a cute cardi with jeans. You really can't go wrong, and in case you're not dressed up enough there is nothing like these pointy toed flats that say I'm a girl in a really comfy way. Just add some fun accessories and you have yourself a nice wearable comfy look. Go get down with your comfy self.
I look so nice I really could go have tea and crumpets with my pinky finger lifted to the sky.

An Ode to Fall

I'm dreaming of a breeze not far away, a crunch underneath your toes and a rosy nose.

Oh For the Love of Pete

Outfit Details:
Shirt: TJ Maxx
Skirt: TJ Maxx
Cardigan: Forever 21
Shoes: Target
Belt: Who knows??
Do you ever have those days that you're so tired that you feel like you can't lift your limbs anymore. Or you can't even come up with a gramatically correct sentences. And your words start to sound fuzzy and you sound like your drunk uncle Hebert. I got home from work and collapsed on the couch and that's where I stayed for a good part of my night. Usually after work I love to get my groove on and partay but here my friends...is the dark side. I was so tired I refused to even go outside to take the pictures so here you have a lovely shot of my insides (not like intestines but you know the interior of  a living space). Thank me later.

*I'll give a person that can guess what the sign says behind me a special prize a) If you haven't been in my apartment b) if your not my sister c) if you haven't lost a toe nail in the past month

Stop and Smell the Roses

Outfit Details:
Skirt: Thrifted
Shirt: Ross
Sweater: Thrifted
Shoes: Target
I've been so miserable with the crazy heat this past month that I didn't take time to stop and smell the roses...okay okay even I can't pull of saying something that cheesy. But I did find these really pretty flowers that I drive by (more like hit with my car as I squeeze out of my tiny parking lot) and I decided to take some time to smell them. The after affects?
A happier jollier cheesy blog writing Sarah. Go smell your roses folks.

I'M BACK!!!

I'm back!!! Can I just say that this trip has allowed me to come to terms with my blogging addiction. I literally went into withdrawals. But I had an awesome time in California and I have to say that I was busy having so much fun that I only took one meesly picture. Guess what the picture was of though. If you guessed Robert Redford hugging Demi Moore you would be totally wrong because it was actually just me and Sir Matt at a restaurant. Had you going huh:)

Outfit Details:
Dress: Faded Glory via Walmart (7$)
Pin: Grandma'd
Shoes: Aeropostale (3$)
Regrettably these are the last pictures that my talented sister took of me. Tomorrow we'll be back to the good ol' point and shoot. Doing so might force me to go camera shopping...anyone have any favorite SLR cameras?

Oh P.S. I've added a shop above on the menu. Check it out. I'll add to it weekly!

I'm Goin Back to Cali...to Cali...to Cali

Well my dear blogging friends. I'm off to California for the next week. I've never left my little blog unattended before. I feel like I'm leaving a child alone in a house with matches, a gas leak, and sharp glass all over the floor. Let's hope the house doesn't get burned down! I'll be taking way too many pictures and shopping at way to many places and DIY'ing way to much so I'll have some great surprises for you when I'm back. Don't have too much fun without me and like my mom always says, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do."...that doesn't work because I would do just about anything so GAME ON!

While driving this will be on replay. I'll be dreaming of these. I'll be wearing this comfy friend in the car. And hoping me and Matt can have a day just like this when we get there.

For putting up with my absence I will reward you with a video of me at my finest with my girl Caitlin. Enjoy

Damask Me!

Outfit Details:
Sweater: TJ Maxx
Shirt: Downeast
Necklace: Thrifted
Skirt: Thrifted
Belt: TJ Maxx
I'm completely in love with the damask pattern. I have a homemade damask painting in my living room, even my wedding cake had damask. What can I say, if it ain't broke don't fix it.I saw this skirt in its full glory of plethory gold goodness and I knew I had to make that baby mine. Even though it was about 100 degrees I had to wear my beautiful goldilocks so I sacrificed my sanity for fashion. Beauty is pain my friends. Beauty is pain.

WARNING: LOADED WITH PICTURES!!!

My sister came into town this week and we had so much dang unadulterated fun it was ridiculous. She took photography lessons from this wonderful lady and so she stepped in as my photographer to get some more practice in. Thanks sista!!!
Clothing Details:
Dress: Kohls ($12)
Shoes: Khols
Did you just notice that I switched the spelling of Kohls
Necklace: Forever 21
It's a REALLY simple outfit but sometimes simple is better. This dress has been my lifesaver. It's a cotton breezy goodness that gives you hope on these hot summer days.
This necklace is probably the actual size of my heart. Random thought but I bet it's true.
Peek a boo
After all of these stoic pictures I was done being serious and things went from fun to...crazy sister time.
Bet the last thing you expected after that gleeful jump was this. Yeah me too.

Ecstatisity!!!

Clothing Details:
Jeggings: Charlotte Russe
Blouse: Forever 21
Necklace: DIY
Flats: Aeropostale
Bow on my shoulder: Overly huge
I'm pretty sure this is the first time on my blog that I haven't worn something thrifted in my outfit. I'm a little shocked, happy, but sad that I broke my AMAZING streak. Can I just say one thing about these pants. They feel like I'm sitting on a couch with my stuffed unicorn Humphrey eating Oreo's dipped in Nutella but they look like regular grown up jeans. Ever since I got them I've been in love, even better....they were only fifteen dollars. I was so excited about my comfy disguise pants that I had to show you my joy. See joy below.
"I sure am ecstactic I found these jeggings!"
Happy Tuesday!

Five Finger Discount

Clothing Details:
Capris: Hand me down (Billabong)
Sweater: Vintage, thrifted
Shirt: Vintage, thrifted
Shoes: Thrifted
Belt: JCPenny
I feel like I can tell you guys anything. You know, we're that close. I've decided that if I were to ever be a criminal I would totally be a thief. Before you shun me forever let me tell you, I have a conscience, I don't steal but do you ever think, "Man if I broke the law I would totally (fill in the blank)." I'd be a thief, and I think I'd make a pretty darn good one. Enough said.
Are you starting to question whether the clothes I'm wearing were stolen after this thieving face. Don't worry I didn't steal them, okay so I did, just kidding again. But truly if you broke laws which law would you break?

Multi Strand Jersey Necklace DIY

Sorry about all of the jersey DIY's but I've had so much extra fabric. All of my jersey DIY's have been made from ONE T-SHIRT, that's right, one, uno, einz (I think that's how you say one in German??) Anyway enjoy!
You'll Need:
Jersey Fabric (or an old t shirt)
Scissors
Paint (if you want to give your necklace some pizzaz)

1. Take the body of your t shirt and cut it in half and then paint it any which way you want. (I'm addicted to all things that look tacky...GOLD BABY!)

 2. Cut your jersey into 1 inch strips

3. Pull tightly on each jersey piece making it into small cylinders. They should look like this. Then set aside one piece (this will be used to tie the necklace together)
 4. Lay each strip out and cut the length of the strands so that they are each different lengths. I cut my strands in 1 inch length increments.
 5. Overlap the two ends of the necklace and while holding them together use the piece of jersey that you set aside to wrap around the necklace. Once it is wrapped around tuck the strand and tie it in a knot around one of the jersey pieces.
 6. Sit back and stare at your creation in awe!

Get Down Like Your Grandma

Clothing Details:
Dress: Grandma'd
Belt: Forever21
Tank: Downeast
Necklace: Forever21
Shoes: Forever Young (Is what I want to be.)
I was talking on the phone with my sister the other day and we were talking about how I wear old people clothes but they don't look too bad because I'm young. Ok ok I'm willing to admit to that. But I reached the ultimate low...this is literally my Grandma's dress. I really am that much of an old soul. Me and my Grandma were non other than sewing together when she whipped out this beauty and handed it over to her youngest granny like granddaughter. And I'm proud to be the owner!
Also in further uneventful news I scored this precious Banana Republic purse at the thrift store last week. I'm in purse love.
It rained,I found a cool purse and there's going to be a DIY tommorrow.... so I did a jig. Can you blame me?

I Want My Baby Bib Baby Bib Baby Bib

Clothing Details:
Shirt: Target
Bib Necklace: Homemade by yours truly!
Skirt: Thrifted
Shoes: Target
Grass: Greener on my side
I had to show this picture because it looks like me and Matt's shadows are fighting. Like Peter Pans shadow that is mischevious and starts so many problems that Peter has to sew it to his feet so it wouldn't run away anymore. Ya know what I'm sayin'?
What do you guys think of my homemade bib necklace? All I can think of when I say bib necklace is baby bib. Please tell me this doesn't look like a baby bib...someone...anyone. Thought you guys should have an inside look in my brain. Today I spelled the word third as 3thrd...I really wrote it on paper. All I could think was," Wow that's how the word should be spelled, I'M GENIUS!"

I Got the Blues

I wanted to find an unusual place to take pictures. However, due to the fact that anyone can distract me with something shiny I was easily distracted by these fellows....I found llamas. Not just any llamas no no, gutsy llamas that will let me feed them sticks! This provides major opportunity for future adventures...I wonder if they like McDonald's side salads?
My necklace is crooked and distracting.

I named him Kenny. Want a stick Kenny?
