Shabby Apple Dress Design...A Challenge I Couldn't Resist

Shabby Apple has challenged fashion bloggers all over to come up with a dress design for Shabby Apple Dresses Spring  2011 collection. Of course...I accepted the challenge. Before I can show you the dress I have to get you in the right mindset though, cheezy yes, I'm hoping it will work. Think of a place like this.(In my very best psychiatrist voice)  There's a crisp breeze in the air, a pink vintage sunset looming behind you and the cherry blossoms are starting to bud.

The concept for this dress is a fallen ballerina. I love the girl look however I also love a vintage distressed look. The "Fallen Ballerina" incorporates the girly and frilly of spring but with a little bit of vintage and rustic to add some edge.

As you can tell I'm the best artist in the world....hence I will be relying on my words to help you visualize the dress. For this dress I would pick a muted pink with a chiffon silk for the entire dress.

The neckline would cut straight across and have a design with rectangular strips of chiffon spreading across the left shoulder and the rectangles getting increasingly smaller on the left shoulder. The the longer pieces would start at the mid right shoulder, a design somewhat like this but rather having the fabric design going to the left shoulder
The neckline on the back of the dress would resemble a ballerina scoop, like this except for the cut would be a  bit higher (to maintain modesty of course:)). And the rectangle fabric design from the front would come over the shoulder and continue on the back left of the shoulder.
The dress would be very fitted in the waist and then slightly bell out with ruffles beginning mid thigh. The chiffon ruffles would look something like this.
Ok and visualize...

A dress like this would be perfect for the spring. You could dress it up with lacey tights and chunky suede heels with some statement jewelry or dress it down with a leather jacket and a belt at the waist.
What do you think guys would you rock it?
