Life Lately: 4th of July

It was the weirdest thing moving out here in February and then not having my family be a part of my every day life. We've always been so close, and I talk on the phone with my sisters almost every day so when I moved out here and would tell them what was new and places we were exploring I just wanted them to ACTUALLY see it and experience. I feel like I've fallen in love with Washington and dangit they had to too! So having almost everyone in my family out here this summer has been so fun. Joc is on a constant family high and man I do not want to be around when she comes down from that. But for now we're just enjoying each day we have with them....and silently praying they decide to move here one day.

These pictures are from the 4th of July...I know I'm the slowest. But right after this life got real crazy, which I promise I'll go more into this week, I just want to tell the story right. Anyways, so yes, 4th of July was a blast, we played hard and I talked with Joc all day about the fireworks and she was so excited and then by the end of the night when it was actually time for fireworks and she heard and saw them this look of terror completely covered her face and she grabbed my face with both hands and brought it close to mine and yelled, "DO YOU HEAR THAT SOUND???" I laughed hysterically for a good five minutes, but hey, it must be pretty terrifying to see them and she was just making sure here mama bear knew what was up.

Testing Out Clothing Subscription Boxes| Le Tote

Dress: Le Tote    Bracelet: Le Tote   Shoes: Kohls     Trench Vest: Nordstrom   Watch: Nordstrom BP

Okay so I'm trying out this subscription box called Le Tote that is specifically for people that have the  fashion attention span of a 3 year old. I've always been stuck in this category of somewhat knowing what my style is but wanting to try trends out to see if I like them but not wanting to commit to buying the pieces.

This is why Le Tote seemed so intriguing to me, you basically pay for a monthly subscription and you get sent a box of 5 items, once you wear them you ship them back and they send you a new box of clothes to try. You can do this as many times as you like within the month. Say you fall in love with a piece of clothing or jewelry, you can just keep it and your card will get charged for it when the box is returned. There's really no limit to how many pieces you can try within the month.

What tipped the scales for me was that they had a maternity box. Finding maternity clothes is hard. I can't tell you how many times I've purchased maternity clothing just because it fit and then having it sit in my closet. The idea of paying 20 something a month to have an endless amount of maternity clothes to test out seemed so nice.

So I've been trying it out. The dress, bracelet and necklace were in my first box along with two other jackets. I love this dress and the jewelry, for me the twist style dress was more of a trend so I decided to send it back but I did love having another jersey dress to add to my collection for the week. The biggest con for me was that the two other pieces in the box (jackets) didn't fit right, but no harm no foul because shipping is free both ways so it was really not a big deal. I wish I would have had a few more pieces to style for the week but next time I'll just be more careful about the sizes that I order. As far as convenience goes with returning they have a pre postaged bag ready to go in your box so it was just a matter of packing it up and putting it in the mail box.

I'm really enjoying it so far! I'll keep you updated as the monthly subscription progresses but I did want to give you a chance to try it for yourself if you want. Le Tote is so kindly giving anyone that uses the code WEARINGITONMYSLEEVES 20% off of you subscription. So give it a try and see what you think for yourself. You can do both maternity and non maternity boxes as well! Happy testing!
