Student Street Style....You Had Me At Anthropologie

 Outfit Details:
Sweater: Target
Shirt: Old Navy
Skirt: Anthropologie
Shoes: Report
Headband: Ann Taylor Loft
I'm always so surprised when people are flattered that I want to put them in my blog. If someone asked me I'd probably give them a weird look and stare in silence. To Jessica's credit she did say," Yeah I saw that you were staring at me and I was trying to figure out if I knew you." I just told her, "Nope, just like any other average Jane, just analyzing your clothes trying to figure out if I wanted to take a picture of your clothes for my street style segment, you know the usual." Turns out she was worthy of..THE BLOG.
A couple of things that Jessica did can really make an outfit stand out.
1. Use texture in what you wear (aka ruffles ruffles ruffles) or something smooth against wool, think contrast people.
2. Don't be afraid to use color (hello awesome blue skirt, pink sweater, gray shoes and black shirt not a single color repeated in that sentence)
3. Learn to praise a good pattern. Pattern can really add something interesting to your outfit, in this case a lacey patterned skirt was perfect.
4. Experiment and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, you don't have to wear jeans everyday because it's easy, take a risk and wear the skirt that's been begging you for a night out on the town.
Thanks Jessica for being weirded out by me, being honest about it, and then still letting me take a picture of you anyway.
Until next time keep it real, you may be next ( insert solemn DUN DUN DUN here).
