It's Been A Long Time Coming

Change is a' comin'. I feel so silly having to write a post about this but I figured all of you awesome readers should be the first to know of my little epiphany. I've always had fun with this fashion blog. It's been a way to express myself, share some creative projects and of course rant about my newly married student life and all of the awesome stuff that comes with it. I never thought it would become a way to meet such awesome people and  I've made some really great friends along the way,  I can't express enough just how awesome you readers are. You're so sweet and  your thoughts have brightened many a gloomy day.

That being said. There's been something missing from this blog for a long time and I just ignored it until it hit me one day. This is my blog and it has almost NOTHING to do with what's really important to me. I love fashion and all but that's just a tiny piece of my life. I slowly began to feel like this was more of a creative trap than something I felt free with and I knew I needed to make a change.

I'm still going to include fashion, DIY and sewing projects often, but I want to be able to write about me and Matt's silly adventures, my awesome family, random thoughts I have and just my life in general. Because life is too sweet to cover it up with unending outfits when what it really comes down to is that their just possessions and don't make me what I am...AT ALL.

This is where you guys come in. I would absolutely love to have all of you guys along for the journey, if you will have me and Sir Matt that is:) If not, I completely understand and you'll be missed but my life is constantly changing and it would be silly if my blog didn't keep changing right along with me and my crazy life.

  1. God, for a second there I thought you were going to say that you would stop blogging - in which case I might have had to kill you. Or something. (Though that would definitely defeat the purpose, no?)
    I think it will be exciting to read more about you and your life in addition to fashion! :)

    that's the way it should be! I try to focus my blog on fashion but there's too many fun things having to do with my kids, hubby and friends- I have to share! originally, I thought it might turn people off and bore them but it seems like everyone is nosier than I thought and they get a kick out of peeking into the personal lives of other bloggers, I know I do!! :P I can't wait to see what joys you have to share!

  5. As much as I ADORE your fashion and think you are so stinkin' cute and inspirational in your outfits, most of the reason I come back to your blog again and again is because I like YOU. I would love to get to know you better by reading more about your adventures and your life and what makes you, you. So YAY!!!

  6. I think it's a great idea! I'm not a fashion blogger, I'm a journal blogger that also loves fashion, but I just blog our life journeys. They make great blogbook memories. =)

  13. I am feeling the same way with my blog - the blog only represents a sliver of me when I spend a chunk of time on it! Might as well open it up - I bet it is gonna be even more awesome than it already is!

    P.S. personal blogging is always better, i think, because you get to know your blog friends on a different level. it's more personal and through their writing :)

  15. And I share read as I like perving in other's lives... I feel the opposite of you. Maybe it's detached but sometimes I like just blogging about fashion because it helps keep is a tiny bit less complicated for me. I am a natural over sharer (?) and I try to avoid that on the blog. Dunno really why... hmmm.
