Sarah and The Stink Thieves

blouse: c/o Romwe (buy it here)   skirt: c/o PB&J Boutique (buy it here)  shoes: Restricted   tights: Kohls

We've been partying it up with family in Cali for the past week and now we're back in Utah to get some good 'ol Morales family time in. Can we talk about how miserable drives are with dogs, by hour two the car fills up with puppy breath, you realize that you are starting to look like a warewolf because white dog hairs are hanging from your chin, clothes and yes, you may have found one in your eye! And then of course, there are the times that you make a sudden turn and your dog digs its claws into your thigh and then somehow manages to climb up your torso to stay safe. It's just not fun, and I would love any recommendations of how to travel with pups better. I mean guys, the best part of my drive was when we stopped in this town called Primm (Oh sweet Prim!(m) two m's?) and I found graffiti carved into a toilet seat that said, "Stink Thieves". I giggled to myself like a little school girl. I commend the gang that had the guts to name themselves something as dumb as the Stink Thieves,  and also I thank them for giving me a chuckle come hour 5 of the drive. You guys, stink thieves! HA!

  1. We put our pupster in a crate/carrier with toys, blankets, etc. when we make long trips. We weren't sure about it at first, but she actually does MUCH better on long car rides now! I think the security of having her own space helped a lot. It might not work for everyone, but it worked for us!

  3. You should get some doggie car seats! I hear they work wonders.

This outfit is adorable; those shoes are like works of art! Hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and will have a super awesome New Year's. Maybe one of your resolutions should be to find these Stink Thieves? I wonder what one wears to steal stink? Hmmm. :)

  7. I hear Thunder Shirts work great! I'm about to purchase one for our younger pup who HATES being in the car. Also taking them on little trips to the store etc gets them more used to car rides! Good luck and happy new year!

  8. Only you could wear a tulle skirt and make it look so flawless. Seriously does anything NOT look good on you? I love that sequined collar as well.

  10. We stay sane by putting a seatbelt harness on our little pup and securing her in the back seat. It's safer for her in case there is an accident and its all but solved the mutual problem of dog hair in the eye for me. She doesn't love it, but she doesn't hate it either and it makes her take a nap which makes her more manageable when we get home. :)

  15. Love, love, love this outfit! So pretty. And I travel with Layla in a soft sided crate. It sounds mean and I know you probably wouldn't do that to your baby Indie, but it keeps her from scratching me and from getting dog hair all over the place.
