Tis A Happier Place They'll Be

Outfit 9: Boots: Vintage Thrifted, Blouse: Target, Blazer: Thrifted, Scarf: F21, Jeggings: Charlotte Russe
I don't think any person in this world is a fan of rodents, but let me tell you a straight up gospel truth, there is nothing that terrifies me more than a rat. Once my mom put a trap out for a mouse, of course it was caught and after seeing it, I ran to my couch and covered myself with a blanket and tons of happy thoughts for about thirty minutes until the heebie jeebies were gone. If I ever hear "RAT!" I'll jump like a dang monkey and cling onto the object that happens to be farthest from the floor. I hate mats and rice, I mean mice and rats, I'm actually very fond of my husband Sir Matt. Moving On.
Today I came home to not one mouse, but three mice in a trap....but they were little baby mice. And I melted just like that bag of chocolate covered peanuts left in my hot car this summer. I was turned to mush. Why is it that anything baby can make me swoon over them? I declared, "Set them free Matt!". All I know is that Matt sent them to a farm far away where it's warm all year round and they can play with other baby chickens and dogs and cows. Farewell mice friends, enjoy the farm!

  5. Love your boots and the colour scheme you have going on!

I like rats... although not "in the wild" because I always think they're psychos that will jump up and bite my leg or something.

  6. I have never had a positive encounter with mice. Story time: A mama mouse had 5 baby mice in my bag at Girl's camp one year. WORST thing of my life. Anyways, your scarf reminds me of Christmas, which makes all the bad memories of mice go away!

  14. First, I love that outfit. Especially the scarf.
Second, we have a mouse that we saved. Last year, James had to do owl survey and he brought home a box full of baby mice. I took one out and instantly fell in love with her. I wouldn't let James feed her to the owl. We have now had Stella for almost a year and half :)

  15. Ohmygosh - where there's babies, there's sure to be a momma!! I myself had to deal with a mouse in my apartment just a few weeks ago and it was not pleasant. Not to mention that it brought fleas into my house and I spent the entire weekend flea-bombing and spraying and vacuuming and dusting every inch of my place - not a fan of mice here!!

Super cute, classic outfit by the way :) Love it!!

  19. Funny story! I have the same feelings about spiders. They scare me to death. The baby spiders are just as creepy so they get stomped on as well (by Hubby of course!)

Love the outfit!! And fab hair. So shiny!
